Once everyone gets over the inevitable ”vampire/hunter we hate each other” thing, I think they’d actually get along. I see Dean and Spike snarking at each other, but eventually bonding over things like classic rock, beer, and creative ways to gank monsters. Not that they would ever admit to being anything like “friends.”

Sam would geek out about having a chance to talk to someone who’s seen as much of history as both of them, and probably ask all sorts of awkward questions before settling down to quietly geek out with Angel.

Sam would also get along with Spike, mostly because he’ll just roll his eyes when Spike tries to tease him (he’s had years of living with Dean, Spike just can’t match that). Dean and Angel would compare notes on being the “responsible” one with a history of things they aren’t proud of and don’t like talking about.

They all know what it’s like to go against what “destiny” and “fate” have decided.

Angel would be curious about the existence of actual angels which Spike would mock him for. When Spike mentions Buffy and Dean says that’s the kind of girl he’d like to meet, Spike gets jealous and changes the subject.

They would all fight about who gets to be in charge and call the shots on a hunt. Dean and Angel both think it should be them, and while they’re busy snarking Sam and Spike roll their eyes at each other before quietly sneaking around back and just start taking care of business and ganking demons.

Now I want to read this fic.
